BSc Semester 1 Admission Information – 2022

Admissions for B.Sc. Semester 1 at Gujarat Arts and Science College is done by GUJARAT UNIVERSITY.

ગુજરાત આર્ટસ અને સાયંસ કોલેજ ખાતે બી.એસ.સી. સેમેસ્ટર ૧ નાં પ્રવેશ ગુજરાત યુનિવર્સીટી દ્વારા થાય છે.

Theory and Practical Notice

BSc sem 1 roll call is shared with all students on official whatsapp groups.

Enrollment process would be initiated as soon as it is received from the University.

Students' theory lectures are being taken Online through MS Teams.

Offline practicals are planned from 20 December 2021 the timetable is shared through WA groups.

14 October 2021, 09 PM

Those students who have not yet paid their remaining college fees, pay before Monday 18 October 2021 OR their admission seat will be allotted to other students.

Fees is taken Online on Govt Cogent platform. Students/Parents have to go through this instructions to pay your fees. This file includes the website for fees registration and later instructions.

Your ONLINE Theory classes are starting from Monday, 18 October, 2021. The time table and Link will be shared in whatsapp groups. As the Boys whatsapp group is full, second group is created whose link is shared below.

ONLINE classes will be taken on Microsoft TEAMS App (available on iOS/Playstore/Web Browser platforms). Students are advised to install this app and login using your gmail/yahoo/email account. You have to click on Teams Lecture Link that we would share in Whatsapp groups.

Some Students have not yet got their documents verified, they can come on Saturday, 16 October 2021 between 11 to 2 PM. Remember that Gujarat Board/2021 Passout/Allotted General Category students need not come for verification. All others have to come.

The alphabetical list includes Round 1, Reshuffle Round and Round 2 students who are allotted to us and have paid token fees.

Students can see their allotted category in this list. Please remember that your actual category may be different but you might be allotted in General Category)

The college cannot change students' subject allotted by Gujarat University Admission Portal. Do not inquire in this regard. All first year students will have THREE compulsory subjects besides English and an Elective Subject. All compulsory subjects have equal weightage.

Your final subject (for e.g. B.Sc. (chemistry) or B.Sc. (Microbiology) is decided in second/third year B.Sc. based on your previous exam merit.

The teaching medium is English in general but students are free to answer in Gujarati Medium in Exams.

The College boys hostel is under renovation so this year we are not giving admissions in hostel.

1. FEES: All students have to pay remaining college fees before 18 October 2021, failing which the admission may be cancelled.

2. PHYSICAL Verification:

All Gujarat Board, 2021 Passout, General Category student NEED NOT COME TO COLLEGE FOR PHYSICAL DOCUMENT VERIFICATION.

Other Students (Passed out before 2021 OR Other Boards OR Other category like ST/SC/OBC/EWS) have to show their original documents (HSC marksheet/Caste Certi/Non creamy layer whichever is applicable) at College during 12-13-14 October 2021, 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at First Year Physics Laboratory in Science Building inside Gujarat College Campus. (ask security guards at entrance they will guide you to our place)

No boy shall join girls group and vice versa otherwise strict action be taken against such student.

4. Education: We plan to start ONLINE THEORY CLASSES till 31 October 2021,

1 November – 13 November 2021 is vacation.

After that, Offline Theory classes and Practicals would start.

5. Discipline:

In whatsapp group, only admins can send messages.

Students should read all notices carefully.

If you have any doubt, they may message Group Admins and wait for their reply.

Try to solve your query through messaging only and do not call at odd hours.

Second round of Admissions allotted.

Students of round 2 have to confirm their admission by paying token fees Rs. 500 or Rs. 5000/- or Rs. 4500/- on GU portal.

If you have paid token fees in previous round then complete the process for zero payment receipt.

It is also necessary to take printout of new admission letter and payment receipt from the login portal.

Student need not come to college physically for document verification till we ask you to come. If you have admission letter and token fees paid receipt - your admission is confimed. Now you have to wait for the email/college website update for college fees payment in next 3-4 days.

Once the deadline for Second round token fees payment is over, we would share here list of confirmed students and within a day or two have ONLINE meeting to inform remaining formalities.

Herewith we are sharing list of confirmed students of Round 1 and Reshuffle Round at our college.

Students need not visit college physically for reporting.
We would be continuously sharing list of confirmed students at our college. If your name is there in our list, you have to wait till further instructions are given in Induction meeting after round 2.
Once admissions for ROUND 2 are allotted, we would have induction meeting (the schedule will be sent to all students by email and a copy will be kept here on this website).
In induction meeting, we would explain how you would pay remaining college fees, the instructions about when and how the classes will start and other formalities if any.
Till then no students need to visit college campuses physically.

Welcome to Gujarat College, the oldest college of the Gujarat State.
New HSC passout student seeking admission to BSc course at Gujarat College may visit oas2021.gujaratuniversity.ac.in portal through which Gujarat University does centralized merit based admission process. The process is generally started after Gujarat Board HSC result. Follow all instructions given therein.
