Sports Complex

  • Shri L. K. Advani (then Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Govt. of India) donated Rs.12,00,000 on 22-JAN-2004 from the M.P. Development Grants for erecting new pavilion at Cricket / Hockey stadia. Foundation stone for the same was laid on 09-FEB-2004 by Shri L. K. Advani.
  • In 1945-46 our students Kirtida Patel and Veena Shah participated in Hockey at International level.
  • Under-twelve Hockey players are given training free of charge on the college ground.
  • In Cricket Padma-Shri Jashu Patel,Shri Dipak Sodhan, Dr. Aroon Naik, Shri Ashok Saheba, Shri Mukund Parmar and many more have participated at the International level.
  • National Cricket matches for under sixteen and under nineteen have been played on this ground where stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Manjrekar , Ajay Jadeja and many more have participated.
  • XXXIII All India Inter University Sports Meet on this ground in 1973.
  • All India Inter University Kho-kho competition was hosted by our College in 1975
  • The ground provides proper facilities for various games like Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Foot Ball, Volley Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Cricket, Hockey, Tennis, Chess, Table Tennis etc.
  • A rifle shooting range ranks among the unique facilities
  • 1963 Addition of new rooms in the pavillion.
  • Played host to international event of West-zone cricket tournament with West-indian team.
  • Recently Gujarat Arts and science Collage Received Rs.30 lacs for developement of Sports Ground From M. P. Dr. Kirit Solanki's Fund.
  • In Academic year 2015-16, Gujarat Arts & Science College Students have brought Laurels to college by winning at University events and by representing at all India Inter University level. We also hosted Khel mahakumbh events like men and women hockey District Championship at our College hockey ground.
